Our Care

The detail around the provision of care can be overwhelming, we want to make sure the information we provide is as simple and easy to understand as possible. We provide high quality, person-centred care for our residents at Stainton Way Care Home

Our overall vision is to provide first class quality care, provided by well trained, polite and respectful staff, within a high standard of accommodation to improve the quality of life for the people who live with us and families whom entrust us with their care.

Whether it’s a short respite break, convalescence or 24-hour care, we can guide you through the process of making the right choice for you.

Residential Care

Providing a level of care suitable for people who want to be as independent as they can be, but with additional support if needed, Residential Care provides accommodation, choice of meals and assistance with personal care needs 24 hours a day. Assistance may include support with bathing, dressing, taking medication and general housekeeping and laundry services, as well as activities and friendship.

Residents have their own room with a high level of privacy and amenities such as full ensuite facilities. A call bell for assistance, television point and internet facilities are available at Stainton Way Care Home.

We generate a strong sense of community atmosphere within residential homes, which have communal areas and the provision of activities to encourage residents to enjoy companionship and social interaction. This service is not provided by qualified nursing staff.

Early On-Set Dementia Care

Our early on-set Dementia Suite provides all of the above but with more specialist care packages for people who are diagnosed as in the early stages of dementia. Residents may be physically fit, but require a degree of specialist support from appropriately trained staff.

Stainton Way cares for people with early stages of dementia using up to date research and technology to offer a safe and secure environment enabling residents to find their way around with ease, comfort and independence. We also tailor a range of activities and therapies to improve the lives of people living with dementia. This service is not provided by qualified nursing staff. If the dementia becomes more progressed, our sister service Stainton Lodge Care Centre may be able to meet your needs.

Respite or Convalescent Care

Caring independently for a loved one can be challenging at times and it is important to take regular breaks to keep the informal carer as well as they can be, to continue their caring duties . We offer short term Residential and Early On-Set Dementia stays to allow carers the time to rest, assured in the knowledge that their loved one is safe, secure and being cared for by us. We are also able to make short stays available as a boost to the support network of someone who has perhaps had an incident in the home or is recovering following a hospital stay.

Both services allow the opportunity for carers and those cared for to rebuild strength and confidence and can be pre-booked at Stainton Way. Planned respite stays and regular breaks can assist in keeping a person in their own home for a much longer period of time.
